How to use a heated tobacco device

A heated tobacco device heats the tobacco stick instead of burning it, so there is no smoke, no ash and no lingering smell. You insert the stick, it heats, and the session ends after a set time or puff count.

• Correct use

Insert the stick up to the printed line without twisting, turn the device on and wait for the ready signal. After the session pull the stick out gently — if it breaks inside, clean the device before the next session.

• Cleaning

Clean the heating chamber roughly every 20 sticks with the supplied brush, device cold. Regular cleaning is the difference between a clean taste and a burnt one.

• Charging and battery

Use the original charger, and don't leave the device in the car under the sun — heat damages the battery. A weak battery gives incomplete heating and a thinner taste.

Heated device problems and fixes

• The stick breaks or gets stuck

Usually the chamber is dirty or the stick went in at an angle. Clean the chamber with the brush, device cold, and insert the stick straight up to the printed line.

• Burnt or thin taste

The chamber needs cleaning — built-up residue changes the taste. Clean it roughly every 20 sticks. A thin taste can also be a weak battery giving incomplete heating.

• The device won't start, or it blinks

Charge it fully with the original charger and try again. Continuous blinking after charging means a battery or sensor problem.

• The device overheats

Don't leave it in the car or under the sun, and let it cool between back-to-back sessions.
